Rev. Jennifer Karsner M.Div.

Jen, founder and spiritual director at Quiet Waters Spiritual Direction, has guided spiritual journeys since 2007. She is part of the SDI and CSDA communities and completed her Spiritual Direction Certification in 2025. Ordained in 2011 as an Elder in the United Methodist Church, she holds an M.Div from Wesley Theological Seminary (2007) and a B.S. from the University of Maryland (2004).

With over 18 years in pastoring, Jen has helped congregations grow in Christlikeness and served on Baltimore-Washington Conference committees, including the Board of Ordained Ministry and Young Adult Council. She has preached at Princeton University, offered the Maryland State Senate invocation, and facilitated retreats.

Jen enjoys working with diverse people, especially clergy and ministry leaders, and is known for her compassion, discernment, and LGBTQ+ affirmation. Her directees describe her as a gifted listener who creates a welcoming space. Residing in Annapolis, Maryland, with her family, she loves outdoor activities, baking, and tacos. Jen is playful, adventurous, curious, insightful, and spirit-led.
